The After Launch Daze
A go slow week
I launched Best Before Burnout last week, and then I went into a bit of a daze.
If you have ever launched something, completed a project, or given your all to something, you most likely know this feeling. The strange flat, mild fog, feeling that follows an excitement and busyness.
It is partly completion. the nervousness of now presenting what you have worked on.
I remember after I published my book ‘The Happy Migrant - Your Relocation Survival Guide’ people started to buy it and I handed it to them with the words, ‘here it is but don’t read it.’
It is also my body and mind adapting once again to a sense of calm after so much thought, writing, videoing, and excitement, oh and nerves, because there are always nerves.
This week I am honouring the daze rather than fighting it. I am taking the next small step instead of the next big one. I am trusting that this is part of the process and not a detour from it. I am also a huge fan of slowing down. So this week is slow and introductory.
If you are in your own version of this right now, this is your reminder that it is normal to have a bit of a low after a bit of a high. Move slower, take breaths, and take some small steps, perhaps even smaller than the ones that crossed your mind as you read that.
